There is a new Aston Martin Vantage on the block boys and girls and she's gorgeous. Screw James Bond, his boring old silver Aston is back at Q. This Vantage is destined for a rather more exciting life. The N430 is Astons direct answer to the Porsche 911 GT3. Unlike the Porsche however, this car was designed not only to be a corner carver. The N430 looks stunning as the Porsche 911 GT3 inevitably beats it on the track because lets face it, the GT3 is a lot faster.
The N430 was tested and perfected at the Nurburging in Germany. Therefore according the James May it will be an appalling excuse for a road car. He may be right. The N430 will have an updated sports suspension, a faster more direct steering input, and a slight pump in horsepower. With roughly 427bhp on tap and a weight lose of about 44 pounds the N430 will rocket to 60 in 4.6 seconds. Nothing ground breaking but Aston Martin has always been more about refinement than a completely new change.
I saved the best news for last however. The N430 has three great things going for it.
1. It is tuned for the track and will be faster and more exciting than it's little brother.
2. With looks like an Aston Martin and a paint scheme pays homage to the CC100 concept so the N430 is breathtaking.
3. Finally, Aston Martin has decided to bless the N430 with a 4.7 V8 engine that takes its power not through an automated manual, but a good ol' 6 speed manual gearbox.
So my only question is this, where do I sign up?
